SOLAR POWER INSTALLATIONS

Invest in photo-voltaic solar panels and join the Green Revolution

  • Generate income for the next 25 years

  • Reduce your annual electricity bills

  • Reduce your carbon foot print

Generate income:  Your electricity supply company will pay you 43.3 pence per kilowatt hour unit for all the electricity generated by your Photo-Voltaic installation.

A typical domestic roof installation might have a power of 3 kilowatts.  Over the course of a year, a 3 kilowatt installation would - depending on weather - be expected to generate around 2600 kilowatt hour units of power or a income of £1126 which is tax free!

A family home might use around 5000 kWh of electricity in a year, that's 5000 units of electricity.    A solar system with 15 panels on your roof in the south east would generate about 2600 kWh - 2600 units of clean electricity or over 50% of the electricity might you use.

It sounds too good to be true - BUT IT IS!   You actually get paid to use the electricity you generate!

With an installation cost of  £9000 to £15000 that represents an annual return of around 9% to 10% - that's way better than the current financial investment returns of around 2%, and you don't pay any income tax!.

And it gets better - the calculation above assumes that you use all the electricity you generate, and if you don't, you get an extra 3 pence for every unused unit (1 kilowatt hour).

So if you use, say 1300 units of electricity - that's 1300 kilowatt hours - of the electricity that you generate you will save 1300 X 13p (assuming your current charge is 13p per unit), that's a saving of £169!  Also your electricity supplier will pay you 1300 X 43.3p or £562.90 for generating 1300 units.

Then, from above you actually generate more electricity than you need, another 1300 units, for which you will be paid another £562.90 plus you will be paid by the government another 3.1p for every unit that you don't use, that is fed back into the National Grid electricity system.  That's another £40.30 per year!

So from above, for each year you could be better off like this:

Payment saved on 1300 units of electricity                     £169.00
Income  from electricity you generate and use               £562.90
Income  from electricity you generate and don't use       £603.20
Total income and savings each year could be
  £1335.10

Please treat all the above calculations as for illustrative purposes only - real circumstances might be different depending on various factors and market conditions
